Link partners

Find websites in your niche, exchange links with their owners, and build the kind of authority that drives SEO and referral traffic — all from a single workflow.

A link partnership is a mutual arrangement between two website owners who agree to link to each other in their content. Both sides get improved search rankings, referral traffic, and stronger domain authority — search engines treat links from related, reputable sites as a strong trust signal.

The Link Partners feature streamlines discovery, requests, article exchange, and ongoing compliance checks into one place — no spreadsheets, no email threads, no manual tracking.

Two tabs

Browse Partners

Discover websites from other WebGPT users available for link partnerships. Each listing shows domain, categories, and language. When a site looks like a fit, send a partnership request directly from the listing — the owner receives it and chooses to accept or decline.

My Partnerships

Manage every active and past partnership — partnerships started by you and those received from others. Per partnership: view current status, message the partner, track submitted and approved articles, and see the full history from request to completion.

When a partner submits an article for your site, a review banner appears on the partnership card. Read the full article, verify the links, and approve or reject — full editorial control, in the same place the partnership is managed. An actions needed badge on the tab surfaces every partnership waiting on you: pending responses, article reviews, or unfulfilled obligations.

Always review carefully
You're responsible for the content on your website. Read partner-submitted articles end to end before approving — check accuracy, tone, and that every link points where it should.

How a partnership runs

  1. Browse and find a site that fits your niche and quality bar.
  2. Send a request with relevant info about your site so the other party can evaluate the fit.
  3. Wait for acceptance. Track the status in My Partnerships.
  4. Submit articles with mutual links. Once accepted, each side writes an article that includes a link to the other's site — the core of the exchange.
  5. Review and approve whatever your partner submits for your site.
  6. Articles go live on both sites with the agreed links.

Status progression: Pending (request sent, awaiting response) → Accepted (both sides agreed, ready to submit articles) → Completed (articles approved and links live on both sites). A request can also be Rejected — no action needed; other partnerships can still go ahead.

Built-in messaging

Every partnership has its own message thread for coordinating topics, clarifying requirements, asking for revisions, or timing publication — no jumping to email.

Once articles are published, every partnership article is checked daily to confirm the agreed backlinks are still in place. If a link goes missing, a three-step enforcement runs:

  • Day 1 — Violation recorded. No action yet (covers temporary issues like maintenance).
  • Day 2 — Violation escalated.
  • Day 3 — Counterpart articles (the ones the violating partner received on your sites) are automatically set to draft.

If the missing link is restored later, the daily check picks up the fix and the drafted articles are automatically republished — no manual reversal needed. This keeps partnerships symmetric: neither side gains a permanent advantage by removing the agreed link post-launch.
