Getting started

Welcome to WebGPT! This quickstart guide walks you through creating your account, choosing a plan, and taking your first steps with AI-powered content creation and WordPress management.

Create an account

Before you can use any WebGPT features, you need to create a free account. The process takes less than two minutes.

  1. Visit the sign-up page
Navigate to the WebGPT sign-up page by clicking Sign up in the top navigation bar, or go directly to /auth/signup.
  2. Fill in your details
Enter your email address, choose a username, and create a strong password (minimum 8 characters). All fields are required.
  3. Submit the registration form
Click the Create account button. If everything looks good, you will see a confirmation message on screen.
  4. Verify your email
Check your inbox (and spam/junk folder) for a verification email from WebGPT. Click the confirmation link inside the email to activate your account. The link expires after 24 hours — if it expires, you can request a new one from the login page.
  5. Log in
Once verified, log in with your email and password. You will be redirected to the billing page to choose a plan.
Tip
If you do not see the verification email within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. Some email providers may delay delivery. You can also request a new verification email from the login screen.

Choosing a plan

After your first login, you will be directed to the billing page where you can choose a subscription plan. WebGPT offers two starter plans, both with a 7-day free trial so you can explore the platform without commitment.

Available plans

Plan Price AI keys Best for
Junior Starter $19/month Uses platform AI (no keys needed) Beginners who want a simple, ready-to-go setup
Independent Starter $9/month Bring your own AI API keys Users who already have OpenAI, Gemini, or other AI provider accounts
Free trial
Both plans include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends. You can cancel at any time during the trial if you decide WebGPT is not the right fit.

Key differences

  • Junior Starter ($19/month) — All AI processing uses WebGPT's built-in AI credits. You do not need to set up any external API keys. This is the simplest way to get started. Note that AI chatbots are not available on this plan.
  • Independent Starter ($9/month) — You connect your own AI API keys (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, DeepSeek, or Grok). You pay the AI providers directly for usage, which can be more cost-effective for heavy users. This plan includes access to all features, including AI chatbots.

To select a plan, click the Start free trial button on your preferred plan card. You will be asked to enter payment details, but you will not be charged until the 7-day trial expires.

Dashboard overview

Once you have selected a plan, you will land on the WebGPT dashboard — your central hub for all platform features. Here is what you will find:

Feature cards

The dashboard organizes all available tools into clearly labeled groups:

  • Create — AI articles, AI images, AI videos, Content autopilots and scheduling, and AI chatbots. These are your primary content creation and automation tools.
  • Integrations — WordPress sites, blogging and social platforms, Telegram channels, AI API keys, Google Analytics, and Cloudflare. Connect your external services here.
  • Utility tools — SERP search, WordPress scraper, trusted sources search, image scraper, and the theme builder. Research and optimization tools that support your content workflow.
  • Community — Marketplace and link partners. Discover websites and build partnerships with other users.

Daily usage summary

At the top of the dashboard, you will see a summary of your daily usage across key features such as SERP searches, article generation, and more. Each feature shows how many actions you have used today versus your daily limit. This helps you stay aware of your remaining quota at a glance.

Onboarding checklist

New users will see an onboarding checklist that guides you through the essential setup steps. As you complete each step, it gets checked off automatically. The checklist helps ensure you do not miss any important configuration before diving into content creation.

First steps checklist

Now that your account is set up and you have chosen a plan, here are the recommended first steps to get the most out of WebGPT:

  1. Set up your AI API keys (Independent plan only)
If you chose the Independent Starter plan, you need to connect at least one AI provider before you can generate content. Go to Integrations → AI API keys and add your OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek, or Grok credentials. Junior Starter users can skip this step — the platform AI is ready to use immediately.

  2. Connect a WordPress site
If you manage WordPress websites, connect at least one site so you can publish AI-generated content directly from WebGPT. Navigate to Integrations → WordPress and follow the connection wizard. You will need your WordPress site URL, a username, and an application password.
Learn more about WordPress sites →
  3. Create your first article
Head to Create → AI articles to generate your first piece of content. Choose a platform, enter a topic, select an AI model, and hit generate. You can edit the result in the built-in rich text editor and publish it when ready.

  4. Generate an AI image
Go to Create → Images to generate your first image. Describe what you need, choose an AI provider, and generate. You can refine the result with follow-up prompts until it looks right, then download or use it in your content.
Learn more about AI images →
  5. Explore AI chatbots (not available on Junior plan)
If you are on the Independent Starter plan, try building an AI chatbot. Upload documents to create a knowledge base, configure a chatbot, and embed it on any website. This is a powerful way to add AI-powered customer support or information assistants to your sites.

Explore at your own pace
There is no requirement to complete every step right away. WebGPT is designed to be modular — you can start with just article creation and add integrations or chatbots later as your needs grow.
