Billing & plans

Manage your subscription plan, payment methods, transaction history, and invoice settings — everything related to your WebGPT billing is in one place.

Overview

The Billing page is accessible from the sidebar navigation under Account → Billing. It is organized into several tabs that cover every aspect of your subscription and payments:

  • Plans — View available plans, start a trial, upgrade, or downgrade
  • Payment Methods — Add, manage, and remove credit cards
  • Billing History — View all past transactions and invoices
  • Billing Settings — Configure invoice details and billing preferences

Plans

The Plans tab shows all available subscription plans and lets you manage your current subscription. WebGPT offers two categories of plans designed for different types of users.

Plan categories

WebGPT plans are divided into two categories based on how AI processing is handled:

  • Junior plans — AI is included in the subscription price. You do not need to set up any external AI API keys. The platform provides all the AI processing you need. This is the simplest way to get started, ideal for beginners. Note that AI chatbots are not available on Junior plans.
  • Independent plans — You bring your own AI API keys from providers like OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, DeepSeek, or Grok. AI usage costs are billed directly by the AI providers to your own accounts. Independent plans offer full access to all features including AI chatbots, and are generally more cost-effective for frequent users.

Available plans

Plan Price AI model access Max users Free trial
Junior Starter $19/month Platform AI included 3 7-day free trial
Independent Starter $9/month Your own API keys 3 7-day free trial
Independent Basic $25/month Your own API keys 5
Independent Pro $49/month Your own API keys 10
Independent Advanced $149/month Your own API keys 100

Free trial

Both the Junior Starter and Independent Starter plans offer a 7-day free trial. During the trial, you get full access to all features included in the plan. No charges are made until the trial period ends.

To start a trial, click the Start free trial button on the plan card. You will need to provide a payment method, but you will not be billed until the 7-day trial expires. You can cancel at any time during the trial to avoid being charged.

Not sure which plan to choose?
Click the Help me choose a plan button at the top of the Plans tab. A guided modal will walk you through a few questions about your needs and recommend the best plan for your situation.

Current plan

Your currently active plan is highlighted on the Plans tab with a distinct visual indicator so you can easily see which plan you are on. From here, you can:

  • Upgrade — Switch to a higher-tier plan for more features and higher usage limits. The upgrade takes effect immediately.
  • Downgrade — Switch to a lower-tier plan. The change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
  • Cancel subscription — Cancel your subscription entirely. You will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period, after which your account will be restricted to the billing page.

Payment methods

The Payment Methods tab is where you manage the credit cards used for subscription payments.

Adding a credit card

WebGPT uses Tranzila as its payment gateway for secure credit card processing.

  1. Click Add payment method
Navigate to the Payment Methods tab and click the button to add a new card.
  2. Enter your card details
Provide your credit card number, expiration date, and CVV. The form is handled securely through Tranzila's payment infrastructure.
  3. Save the card
Click Save to store the card. Your card is tokenized for security — WebGPT never stores your full card number. Only a secure token and the last four digits are retained.

Managing saved cards

Once you have one or more cards saved, you can:

  • View saved cards — See all your stored payment methods, each showing the card type and last four digits.
  • Set a default card — Choose which card is used for automatic subscription renewals. Your default card is marked with a badge.
  • Remove a card — Delete a saved card you no longer want to use. You cannot remove a card if it is your only payment method and you have an active subscription.
Keep your payment method up to date
If your card expires or is declined during a subscription renewal, your account status will change to "Payment Error" and you may lose access to features until the payment issue is resolved. Make sure to update your card before it expires.

Billing history

The Billing History tab provides a complete record of all transactions on your account, giving you full transparency into your payment activity.

Transaction table

All transactions are displayed in a sortable table with the following columns:

  • Date — When the transaction occurred
  • Type — The nature of the transaction (subscription renewal, upgrade, downgrade, etc.)
  • Amount — The dollar amount charged
  • Payment method — Which card was used for the payment (last four digits)
  • Status — Whether the transaction was successful, pending, or failed
  • Invoice number — A unique identifier for each transaction

Billing settings

The Billing Settings tab lets you configure the details that appear on your invoices and set billing preferences.

Invoice details

Configure the entity information that appears on your invoices:

  • Entity name — The name that appears on your invoices. This can be your personal name or a business/company name, depending on how you want invoices issued.
  • Tax ID / Business number — If you are a business, enter your tax identification number or business registration number. This will appear on invoices for your accounting records.

Default currency

Choose the currency for displaying prices and invoices:

  • USD — United States Dollar
  • ILS — Israeli New Shekel

This setting affects how prices are displayed throughout the billing section and on your invoices. All plans are priced in USD, but amounts can be displayed in your preferred currency for convenience.

Understanding subscription status

Your subscription can be in one of several states. Understanding these helps you know what to expect:

Status What it means
Trial Active You are in your 7-day free trial period. Full feature access. No charges until the trial ends.
Active Your paid subscription is active and in good standing. All features are available.
Not Active You have not selected a plan yet. You will be directed to the billing page to choose a plan before accessing other features.
Trial Expired Your free trial has ended without activating a paid plan. Access is restricted until you subscribe.
Cancelled You have cancelled your subscription. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Payment Error A payment attempt failed (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.). Update your payment method to restore access.
Restricted access
When your subscription is not active (status: Not Active, Trial Expired, Cancelled, or Payment Error), you can only access the Billing page, Account Settings, and Support. All other features are locked until you activate a subscription. Your data is preserved — nothing is deleted when your subscription lapses.
